Necro News and Interview with Chuck and Karolina Morrongiello
On Wednesday, September 24, Heather Dewey Pettet hosted another of her livestreams, which interview guests at Necronomicon… which is now called the Necro News and Interviews Podcast.
As usual, Heather began with some of the latest news related to Necronomicon Tampa, and all of the many activities available to con-goers this year.
Then she talked to filmmaker couple Chuck and Karolina Morrongiello, one of the many guests for Necronomicon Tampa 44, about their career in filmmaking. We talked about filming in Tampa, where they are based, and the many films they have worked on together over the years.
Some of their most famous — and award-winning — work includes the movie Amityville: Mt. Misery Road and The American Ripper. Upcoming releases are Killer Grannies (filmed in Tampa), Bugs the Bunny Killer, and Snarly Yow. Fusing original music, immersive storytelling, and hands-on craftsmanship, they breathe eerie life into their films. Their passion for mythic horror and independent cinema makes them standout voices in today’s bold new wave of genre filmmaking.
Necronomicon Tampa -- the longest-running convention in the southeast U.S. -- where Kevin, among many other guests, is going to be a speaker during the weekend of September 16-28. The segment aired at 8:00 pm, EST.
